What should one read if they want to get the truth, especially on daily occurrences or what the news media terms, newsworthy? Also, if much of history is blurred, what do we read to get, the truth?

I have always held that the opposite of indifference is love. If you don't care, you do not love. Most people will say that hate is the opposite of love, but even in hating, there is caring and emotion. There is no concern for anyone else in indifference.
Does this mean that love, hatred, or compassion are aspects of reality? I would say so and I am going to think about this to try to work it out.
