I agree with everything you said, Gary. Again, there is no way of defeating this monster. In one way, I suppose, you make the situation sound more controllable than it actually is. I refer to the suggestion that I believe is implicit in your argument, that A.I. and its systems are a human creation, and thus (I suppose) capable of human remediation. If only that were so! In fact, I believe that the evidence available all points to "external entities" at work here, and by "external entities" I am talking about aliens, whether from Mars, or other frequencies, or the deep underground, or perhaps, dare I say it, the biblical Hades. I have come to think that the origins of the human race are more truthfully explored in the Bible (or similar books at the root of other cultures). Mankind, I believe, in the final telling, did spring from the "brow of Zeus", and now that mankind has reached some sort of endpoint in terms of trashing the planet or overpopulating it, or whatever, the alien forces, at least those emanating from the proverbial underworld, are staging their final assault on the human race. My personal belief is that countermeasures are available, but they are not the sort that you perhaps would employ. For I see a spiritual plane extant that inhabits the human soul, and if we would but see it, we will live on in something like the "kingdom of God" which Jesus said was within us. Jesus will not return to wage a battle against the devil -- of that I feel certain. For those battles are conceived of by many as being battles utilizing the weapons of war that we are familiar with. We really need to focus (in my opinion) on picking up our toys and going off to play on some other playground, one where no doubt higher values prevail. Not a satisfying solution to any who wear lead in their boots to keep themselves from "flying off."
Hey Gary, as much as I like and support almost all of your platforms I think it's way too early for anyone to understand what is coming with AI. To begin with, we are only entering into the baby steps as AI expands exponencially. That is it doubles every cycle, meaning if we catagorize today's position as 1x, doubling every 6 months it goes to 2x current status to 4x, 8x, 16x, 32x, 64x, 128x in just six more cycles within 5 years. One can project that AI will eliminate all secrets. Gone will be the liers, cheats, murderers, and assorted scumbags that currently pretend to be our leaders. Maybe our country will revert back to being something like a republic, which was hijacked long ago. I'm going with the positive outlook. Time has come to throw out the trash and replace it with TRUTH.
